Planning In The Deep

The Best Paper Planners To Organize Your Life In 2022.

When I first decided to get my life together and found planning and started actually using a paper planner back in 2013, there weren’t as many options to choose from as there are today. More so that the planning community has grown tremendously in size compared to when I started. So the options out there are endless compared to when I first started using a paper planner. The amount of paper planners that are on the market as of today can very well make you feel lost when it comes to picking the right planner for you.

When you first start using a paper planner, you will most definitely find the large following that makes up the planner community. You have to remember though this isn’t something that comes to you overnight. Keep in mind that we were all new at one point in time and learned and grew from the time we were new to planning. You probably feel lost when it comes to where to even begin, what planner you should buy and where to even purchase a decent paper planner. Most important rule make sure the planner fits your lifestyle.

This is where the confusion and frustration tends to set in more often then not, especially after finding the planner community on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok or Facebook.
You will see pages upon pages of beautiful and fully decorated paper planner layouts that most likely will make you feel intimidated. Just remember this planner has to work for YOU. There are many different layout options and styles to choose from, some of these options are daily, weekly and monthly. You have your dated and undated planning options. Last but surely not least, you have the weekly layout styles that ranges anywhere from horizontal, hourly or vertical.

This decision alone can be really frustrating and will probably cause you to quickly spiral down the paper planning rabbit… FAST. Not only have I been there, done that, so have most of my fellow planner friends within the planning community, we were all considered newbies at one point in time. Trust me when I say we completely understand where your coming from.

I promise you will find planner peace. Just make sure you are picking a planner based on your lifestyle, not by how it looks in photos on social media. This is what causes total planner meltdown, or shut down, getting a planner based on others photos that does not in reality actually work for you in the long run.

What’s the point right?

Moving forward, my hope are to help guide anyone who finds this blog post and steer them into the right direction when it comes to choosing a paper planner. There are so many different options and styles when it comes to choosing a planner. I will be adding a variety of different types of planners along with some of my all time favorites down below. I will also go a bit into detail and give some descriptions on these planners and the different options you can find.

The Day Designer was created by Whitney English and has been around longer then I’ve been planning. When I joined the planning community 9 years ago, The Day Designer was one of the first and most popular daily planners among the planning community (and still is).
